Why is XtraMath a thing?
XtraMath® is an online math fact fluency program that helps students develop quick recall and automaticity of their basic math facts. Students with a strong foundation of basic math facts will have an easier time when they begin to tackle more advanced math, like fractions or algebra.
Is XtraMath good?
Pros: Good theory allows students to focus on memorization with minimal distractions. Cons: Rote, timed drill-and-practice exercises aren’t engaging and can be stressful. Bottom Line: XtraMath helps kids gain crucial math-fact fluency but won’t get them any closer to enjoying math.

What does GREY mean on XtraMath?
The YELLOW SQUARE means you got them correct between 3-10 seconds. The GRAY SQUARE means you didn’t get them.

Aligned with standards, XtraMath was designed for K-6 elementary school students but is also used by older students for review or intervention. Students of all ages can benefit from XtraMath! XtraMath reaches over 5 million students every school year.
What does green mean On XtraMath?
On a Sign In page, all checkmark icons displayed are green, for student privacy. In the online class report, the color and shape of the icon reflects the student’s performance. The student has completed their program! If you want them to keep using XtraMath, you’ll need to assign them a new program.
What does the yellow box in XtraMath mean?
The SMILEY FACE means you got the multiplication fact correct in 3 seconds. The GREEN CHECK means you got the multiplication fact correct within 10 seconds. The YELLOW SQUARE means you got them correct between 3-10 seconds.
