What happens if you spare Karadin?
You can choose either to spare Karadin or help Lambert kill him. Lambert will be angry with Geralt if you insist on leaving Karadin, but there will be no real consequences to the quest as it will not impact Geralt’s future interacations with Lambert. Regardless of the choice, the two will go on their separate ways.
Do the choices you make in Witcher 3 matter?

Can you fail following the thread?
There are two failures that can arise from Following The Thread. First of all, starting this quest will cause the Flesh For Sale quest in Skellige to be marked as failed. If you want to do that one, be sure to finish it before agreeing to help Lambert in Following The Thread.
Can I play Gwent with Lambert at Kaer Morhen?
You should be able to play him after completing The Final Trial per usgamer. This is the part of the quest that will require some patience, as you can only play Lambert after you travel to Kaer Morhen to complete the Ugly Baby main quest.
Should I choose Abelard or Maxim Witcher 3?
For the Princess you will be given the choice between Irina or Priscilla, for the Doppler you will be given the choice between Abelard or Maxim. To get the best result choose Priscilla and Abelard.

How do I get ULLE to appear?
To make the ghost reappear, meditate for a little over a full day. Talk to Ulle again, and when the fight begins, just stand there and let him hurt you until another cutscene occurs. Baffled at the outcome, Ulle will graciously thank you and finally pass on to the afterlife.
