What is Tor arm?
For those unfamiliar, arm is a terminal monitor for Tor relays and, to a growing extent, end users. It provides: resource usage (bandwidth, cpu, and memory usage) connections correlated against tor’s consensus data (ip, connection types, relay details, etc) an editor to quickly alter Tor’s configuration.
What is Nyx Tor?
What is Nyx? Nyx is a command-line application for monitoring real time Tor status information. This includes bandwidth usage, logs, connections, configuration, and more. As a curses interface Nyx is particularly well suited for ssh connections, tty terminals, and command-line aficionados.
What is Tor relay?
Tor relays are also referred to as “routers” or “nodes.” They receive traffic on the Tor network and pass it along. There are three kinds of relays that you can run in order to help the Tor network: middle relays, exit relays, and bridges.
How do Tor exit nodes work?
Tor Exit Nodes are the gateways where encrypted Tor traffic hits the Internet. This means an exit node can be abused to monitor Tor traffic (after it leaves the onion network). It is in the design of the Tor network that locating the source of that traffic through the network should be difficult to determine.
What are onion circuits?
Onion Circuits displays information about the current Tor circuits and connections. A Tor circuit is made of three relays: The first relay or entry guard. If you configured Tor bridges, one of your bridges is the first relay. The second relay or middle node.
Should I block Tor exit nodes?
Organizations that do not wish to block legitimate traffic to/from Tor entry/exit nodes should consider adopting practices that allow for network monitoring and traffic analysis for traffic from those nodes, and then consider appropriate blocking.
