Can you still buy ArtCAM?
As with all Autodesk products, sales of perpetual licenses ceased a couple of years ago. Now, Autodesk has killed ArtCAM. The FAQ is here, but as of right now you can’t buy a new ArtCAM subscription. You can renew an existing subscription until 7 July 2018.
Is Carveco an ArtCAM?
The functionality included in Carveco™ software is near-identical to that within Autodesk® ArtCAM® Premium software. However, there are some exceptions: 3D Printing and Batch Assembly tools are excluded; but you can still export Carveco models as STL files for use in 3rd-party 3D printing software.
What is the use of ArtCAM?
ArtCAM is used in a variety of sectors from jewelry and coin minting, to the design and manufacture of architectural cornicing and facades. The common theme across these sectors is the desire to produce intricate artistic forms with incredible detail that can then be quickly and easily machined or 3D printed.
What happened to ArtCAM?
As of July 7, 2018, ArtCAM has been discontinued with no planned future releases or updates. As of February 7, 2018, customers will no longer be able to purchase a new ArtCAM subscription. Maintenance plan and subscription renewals for ArtCAM will continue to be available until July 7, 2018.

Do Multiple Z Passes?
Multiple Z Passes: Multiple Z-passes run the tool across the material cutting off one layer at a time until you reach the bottom-most depth of your surface. If you do not choose to do multiple passes, then you will end up trying to cut with the smooth shank (shaft) of the cutting bit rather than the cutting flutes.

Is Carveco web based?
Carveco Perpetual products will need an active internet connection for activating the license on your system. Following that you can happily run your perpetual product without an internet connection. Communication with our licensing server will be necessary to check your license entitlement and install any updates.
