What is Elm OBD2?
The ELM327 is a programmed microcontroller produced by ELM Electronics for translating the on-board diagnostics (OBD) interface found in most modern cars. The ELM327 command protocol is one of the most popular PC-to-OBD interface standards and is also implemented by other vendors.
How do you use OBD 2 ELM327?
Plug the ELM327 Bluetooth device into the OBD-II port. Set the smartphone, tablet, or laptop to scan for available connections. Select the ELM327 scan tool. Input the pairing code….If no documentation is included, try one of the common codes, which include:
- 0000.
- 1234.
- 6789.
- 9999.
How do I pair my ELM327?
- Plug ELM327 WIFI Scanner into vehicle’s OBD2 port.
- Turn ON ignition.
- On your device — go to “Settings” > “Wi-Fi”.
- Launch your OBD App.
- Go to Apps Settings and configure it to look for WIFI.
- OBD App should now successfully connect to your vehicle.
