What is a Nikon 18 135mm lens good for?
The lens has a focal length range of 18-135mm, which is suitable for a wide variety of shooting situations ranging from tight sports, action and portraits to wide-angle landscapes. (The picture angle is equivalent to a 27-202.5mm lens in the 35mm format.)
What does a lens hood do?
The main purpose of a lens hood is to shade the front of your lens, to keep light from falling across the lens and causing unwanted flairs and a washed out, low contrast look. If you are wanting a clear picture without any glare, a lens hood shields the camera from light, creating a clear photo.
Does Nikon 18 140 have lens hood?
The Nikon 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6 VR DX doesn’t come with a lens hood.
When should you use lens hood?
The main reason you use a lens hood is to stop stray light coming onto your lens which can create lens flare and give your images less contrast. This normally happens when shooting into the sun or when you have a strong light source in front of the lens.
What is the Zoom on a Nikon 18 135 lens?
(From Nikon lens literature) A high performance compact and lightweight 7.5x zoom lens for Nikon DX format digital SLRs. 18-135mm focal range (7.5x zoom) for use in a wide variety of situations (equivalent to a 27-202.5mm lens in the 35mm format).
What do you think about the canon 18/135?
I received my 18/135 bundled with my camera. Very sharp, great zoom range, minimal distortion, fast and silent. Really nice travel lens. Its shortcomings are: plastic bayonet without stabilization and unfortunately even minor distortions are observed throughout the zoom range.
Is the Nikon 18-135mm worth it without VR?
Without VR the 135mmrange isn’t very useful. The 18-135mm lens is great for portraits and head shots, especially for pets, since it focuses so close and has nice bokeh. I strongly prefer the more expensive Nikon 18-200mmVR, or if on a budget, the much less expensive 18-55 mm.
Why is the Nikon D80 lens so bad at 135mm?
A technically astute, but still bad, photographer would have shifted the D80’s program and shot at f/8 or f/11 to make the falloff go away. The D80 shifts its program at long focal lengths to favor high shutter speeds, which usually means this lens almost always gets shot at f/5.6 when set to 135mm in Program.
