Members learn in a safe and caring environment. They gain lifelong qualities such as confidence, teamwork and sportsmanship. Members learn how to ride and care for ponies.
How does The Pony Club work?
The objectives of The Pony Club are: to encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding. to give instruction in riding and horsemastership and to educate Members to look after and to take proper care of their animal.

What are pony club horses?
Pony Club NSW is a not-for-profit organisation invested into the development of horse riding in NSW through targeting grassroots, and elite development programs, competitions and education programs.
What do you do with a horse in 4h?
4-H Horse Activities 4-H members in the horse project participate in local club meetings where a lot of information about horses is learned. 4-H members may participate in demonstrations, public speaking, horse judging, horse quiz bowl, hippology, and 4-H horse shows.
How much is a pony horses?
The Cost of Ponies The cost of a good pony can be the same or higher than a horse. Expect prices for suitable first ponies to be about $1,000 and upwards.

As a Pony Club member you can work towards our range of Achievement Badges, Mini Achievement Badges and Competition Badges, learning vital skills along the way! You can also improve your riding and horse care skills by working up through The Pony Club Efficiency Tests – will you achieve the coveted A Test?
What is a horseless horse?
A horseless horse project member is defined as a 4-H member who has no one on one access to a horse. They do not own their own horse. Their family does not own or lease a horse. (Cloverbuds may not be horseless project members.)
