If it says just “H22A” without a 1 or 4 or any number on the end then it is JDM.
What is the difference between H22A and h22a4?
The backs of the blocks are configured slightly different. The oil pans and lower timing covers are slightly different. The crank angle sensor is located in the distributor on a h22a and on the oil pump in the h22a4. All of the internals from the A will go into the a4.
