Is the EOTech XPS2 night vision?
The XPS2 is the shortest, smallest and lightest EOTech model holographic weapon sight available without night vision. This EOTech holo sight has the same body style as the XPS3™ model, but the XPS2 does not have night vision-compatibility.
What is the difference between a holographic sight and a red dot sight?
Holographic sights use a laser diode and mirrors to project a holographic reticle that appears to be “floating” on your target. Red dot sights require your eye to move back and forth between the optical plane and the target plane, but holo-sights allow you to focus on both the target AND reticle at the same time.
Is EOTech holographic sight?
Using advanced holographic technology, EOTECH Holographic Weapon Sights (HWS) are among the fastest and most intuitive sighting systems on the planet.
What is EOTech XPS2 FN?
The XPS2-FN Red Dot Holographic Sight (Matte Black) from EOTech provides rapid heads-up-both-eyes-open target acquisition. Because it’s powered by a single transverse-mounted CR123A battery, the XPS2-FN is shorter than the N and AA battery versions – yet it delivers the same parallax-free sighting capabilities.

Is EOTech better than red dot?
These sights are made by only two companies: EOTech and Vortex. This is much more accurate than other red dot sights that have a two-MOA reticle which multiplies in size when magnification is added. If the front lens on a holographic sight is damaged or broken, the sight will still work.

Do holographic sights use batteries?
The laser diode in a holographic sight uses more power and has more complex driving electronics than a standard LED of an equivalent brightness, reducing the amount of time a holographic sight can run on a single set of batteries compared to a red dot sight (around 600 hours for typical holographic sights, compared to sometimes up to tens of thousands of hours for red dot sights).
