Is it worth going to Zion National Park right now?
Even with the closures and restrictions, Zion is still an amazing place to visit and there are plenty of trails that are still open. For the first time visitor, I would recommend you do (at the very least) the Emerald Pools, Narrows and Canyon Overlook Trails.
How many days is enough for Zion National Park?
We suggest you plan at least 5-7 days for your trip to Zion National Park. If you’re an avid hiker, take your time visiting popular (and strenuous) day hikes such as Angels Landing, Zion Narrows Day Hike, and Observation Point Trail.

Is Bryce Canyon or Zion better?
Both of these Parks offer great outdoor activities for all ages. For canyoneering and rappelling, Zion beats Bryce. You’ll find world-class hiking in either Park, but in Zion you can find yourself hiking through streams or on sandstone ledges, like Angels Landing – one of the scariest hikes in the world!

Where to stay in Zion National Park?
We stayed in the watchman campground inside Zion. It was easy to walk to the shuttle and go to any of the stops for some hiking. The shuttle was pretty empty this time of the year. If staying on-site, bring all the food and drinks you will need. Every store in the area is overpriced. The bathrooms in the campground don’t have showers.
Can you hike in Zion National Park in your car?
We did a few short hikes in the park to get to a few viewpoints and were very impressed with the views. The Canyon Overlook hike is one of the hikes you can get to in your car and there are a few other such hikes but the most interesting ones are in the canyon within the park.
