Overall FIU is a good college experience. when it comes to tuition, your getting a great price for university credit. Even though parking seems to be an issue at times, they are constantly trying to improve the traffic and parking situation. There is plenty of school spirit with constant events held by SPC.

What classes do you need to take in college for nursing?
Anatomy and Physiology. Human anatomy and physiology form the foundation of any nursing degree. You’ll have to learn how the human body works,as well as common symptoms of trouble.
Writing and Communication. Nurses don’t just consult with patients and make verbal recommendations. They also need to be able to clearly convey information to doctors,other nurses and patients.
Chemistry and Pharmacology. Chemistry plays an important role in pharmacology and nurses need to understand how medications work as well as how medication interactions can affect patients.
Health Assessment. Nurses need to know how to read a patient’s symptoms,gather information about a patient’s healthcare history and convey the most important information to doctors.
Ethics. Nurses have to make tough ethical decisions and may also be involved in billing and patient records.
Social Sciences. Because nurses work directly with people,often during stressful times,they need strong communication skills and the ability to empathize with a wide variety of people.
Math and Data. Nurses need to accurately assess the prescriptions a patient is taking and understand medical studies.
