Is 190E C-Class?
The Mercedes-Benz 190E premiered in November 1982, and even though it wasn’t called a C-class at the time, this chassis codenamed W201 was the first modern iteration of the C-class family. North America received the W201 with a 2.3-liter inline-four, with the model still being badged 190E.
What does the C in C-Class mean?

What’s the difference between C-Class and CLA?
In America, the first two entry-level Mercedes-Benz vehicles are the CLA and the C-Class. The CLA and the C-Class both have four doors, but the CLA has a lower roofline with more aggressive curvature behind the back seats. This makes for less interior room, but it also gives the CLA some extra space in the trunk.
Are 190E reliable?
The 190E is generally robust and reliable, little of a significant nature goes wrong with them. The body is strong and doesn’t suffer from rust to any degree; the paint quality is also of a good standard such that they still sparkle if looked after.
