Please be advised our dress code policy is upscale trendy casual, please communicate this to all of your guests so that they do not have issues at the door. No guests should wear sweat pants, athletic wear, joggers, bathing suits, slides, or flip flops; all sandals must have a back.

Yes, the few times I went to slate there’s always this tall Asian dude in the front who does a great job making sure everyone has their money out and coats ready.
Can you wear sneakers to Slate NY?
The dress code at Slate NYC is “upscale and trendy”. Collared Shirts and slacks are preferred, but jeans are accepted. Shoes and loafers only, as no open-toed sandals, flip-flops, work boots or sneakers are allowed.

What do you wear to Slate?
It’s important that young actors slate in a quiet place in front of a blank wall that doesn’t distract the eye. If you have access to a wall that has a nice bright color like blue, purple, or green, that’s always a plus! Don’t wear stripes or polka dots. A solid-colored shirt is preferable.

Be advised that we have a 21 and over policy. Any guests demonstrating unruly behavior, including aggression or visible inebriation, will be escorted out of the venue immediately. Outside entertainment and decorations of any kind are not permitted unless otherwise communicated by our staff prior to your arrival.
