Every Midnight Yell, the lights are turned out, allowing dates to “mug down,” or kiss. If students did not bring a date, they can hold up a lighter, and use the lights to find other lonely Ags. Also, the people who kiss at Midnight Yell have no chill anyway.

Who can come to Midnight Yell? Everyone is welcome to attend. No pre-registration or tickets needed.
What is A&M Midnight Yell?
Midnight Yell begins when the yell leaders lead the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band and current and former students into the stadium. The crowd will sing The Aggie War Hymn and listen to fables from the yell leaders, telling how the Aggies are going to beat their opponent on the field the next day.
Why do Aggies say here when someone dies?
As the names of the deceased Aggies are called, a family member or friend answers “Here,” and lights a candle, to symbolize that although their loved one is not present in body, his or her spirit will shine forever.
Why do Aggies wear rings?
The tradition of the Aggie Ring dates back to 1889, when the first Rings featured the letters “AMC” entwined on the crest. E.C. Traditionally, students wear the Ring with the class year facing them to signify that their time at A&M is not yet complete.
