Can you put a supercharger on a Civic Si?
Kraftwerks is pleased to introduce the intercooled supercharger system for the 06-11 Honda Civic Si. And, unlike any other forced induction system, the Kraftwerks supercharger system provides a linear power curve, torque on demand, cooler operating temperatures, and total drive-ability.
Will a supercharger damage my engine?
Assuming a properly tuned system, proper oil change and engine maintenance, and similar driving, supercharging generally will not shorten the life of an engine, just as is the case with OEM turbocharging (with proper cooldown for turbochargers. A cooldown period after driving is not necessary with supercharging).
How much HP does a supercharger add to a Civic?
How much horsepower will a supercharger add? Connecting your supercharger to the engine intake can add around 50-100 horsepower. On the other hand, a turbocharger can add around 70-150 horsepower.

A supercharger is connected directly to the engine intake and could provide an extra 50-100 horsepower.
Is Honda Civic Si turbo?
Under the hood of the Civic Si is a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder that makes 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. That power is sent to the front wheels through a standard limited-slip differential and a six-speed manual transmission; an automatic option isn’t currently offered.
Can I supercharge a stock engine?
Yes, you can supercharge a “stock” engine. When going with a “power adder” ie supercharger (many types), turbo, or nitrous, you need to know the limits of the factory engine.
Should I buy a supercharger for my Civic Si?
If you are going to spend $10.000 USD on parts, this Civic Si will smoke a mustang v6, GT and definitely smoke STI. If you want major power, go for BIG turbo. Keep in mind when you go over 400whp you need built transmission. I think you can get to 600+WHP with $10.000. Supercharger is easier to deal with but less power.
What is the difference between a turbo and supercharger?
Superchargers generally require RPM to work properly, like the older K20’s in the 8th Gen Civics. The displacement and high 11.0:1 compression spools a properly sized turbo so quickly that there is virtually no turbo lag. Also, a turbocharger kit will easily make more power than a supercharger.
