Are magazine dust covers necessary?
They keep dust and dirt out, protect your ammo from shock and are more transferable-durable and discrete. One of the covers in the lot had to be drummeld down to snap in place. They are not necessary but seem to make a good supplemental item for helping to protect your ammo.

Do Pmag springs wear out?
Using the spring (loading and unloading the magazine) frequently will cause it to wear out as well. Some springs may stay loaded for decades and still function, and others might wear out after a much shorter period of time. So just to be safe, the best practice is to rotate the magazines periodically.

Will FN SCAR take PMAGs?
The SCAR is compatible with AR15 magazines, but it is not an AR 15. Gen 2 Pmags could actually seriously break your SCAR if used extensively. Gen 2 PMAGs would push the bolt catch slightly upward, not enough to engage the bolt.
How long is ammo good for?
Ammunition isn’t a perishable good – if stored correctly, it can last almost indefinitely. Whether it was stored correctly or not is another matter.
Is it OK to keep AR 15 magazines loaded?
