How long does it take to break in a holster?
Wearing the holster with your firearm in it ensures the leather will break in nicely within a few days and become very comfortable. After about 2 weeks it will be next to fully broken in and stretched out, however we notice by hearing from a lot of users that after just a few days it is very comfortable.
Are Tagua holsters any good?

Is holster too tight?
If you need to use significant force (about 7-10 lbs pressure) to prevent the holster from moving, or you are pulling downward on the holster to free your gun then the fit is likely too tight.
Should I oil my leather holster?
We do NOT recommend using a lubricant like spray silicone or Leather Lightning to grease up the inside of your holster. You don’t want a gun slippery as it may slide out of the holster unintentionally. Beyond that, you don’t want to tarnish the finish of your firearm.
Which is better leather or kydex?
It really comes down to personal preference which is better. Kydex holsters come out on top when it comes to retention and reholstering. Leather holsters take the crown when it comes to comfort and style. The best holster is the one you are going to carry everyday.
Do you have to break in a Kydex holster?
No, Kydex holsters are form fitted to your particular model of firearm. This means there is no break-in period whatsoever. We believe this to be the perfect thickness for holsters because it is light enough to disappear on your hip but durable enough to protect your pistol from day-to-day use.
Can I paint my kydex holster?
Normal VOC level paints have proven successful to paint KYDEX® sheet. If a low VOC paint must be used, surface preparation prior to painting may increase adhesion.
Is it OK to store your gun in a leather holster?
The short answer is – Don’t store your gun in your holster. tanned leather that’s PH balanced for gun contact, we do not recommend long term storage of a side arm in a holster, especially if you did not purchase the holster from Tucker Gunleather.
Should you store a pistol in a leather holster?
Unless the leather is well cared for and regularly oiled, the answer would be no. Dry leather absorbs moisture right out of the air in humid environments and storing your weapon in such a holster will cause rust to form in the areas where the leather comes into contact with the weapon.
