When did Chatsworth farm shop open?
Established by the Duchess of Devonshire in 1977, the shop sold beef and lamb from the estate farms, and venison from the park. Its aim was to sell Chatsworth’s produce direct to the people who wanted to eat top quality, locally grown food.
Are dogs allowed in Chatsworth farm shop?
There are water bowls for me if I get thirsty but only Guide Dogs are allowed inside the farm shop and café.
Does Chatsworth House have a café?

Is parking free at Chatsworth?

Is Chatsworth House open to the public?
Please be aware that the house and garden are closed, reopening on 26 March. The farmyard & playground will close after half-term, also reopening on 26 March….February half-term holiday.

Do carers go free at Chatsworth House?
We offer free admission to carers who are visiting with the person they care for. Please do not include carers when booking your tickets online as they will be given complimentary admission on arrival.
What should I wear to Chatsworth House?
Please note that due to the recent flooding, the ground is very muddy in many areas of our car parks. We strongly recommend that you wear wellies or walking boots as well as warm, waterproof clothing and take care walking to and from your car.
Can you walk around Chatsworth estate for free?
You are welcome to walk, picnic and play in the park and Stand Wood for free. Please follow the guidelines below and be aware that access may sometimes be limited.
