How long does building Normalisation?
Once the Building Inspector is satisfied you will be issued with a Regularisation Certificate. Although this is a step below a completion certificate it will be acceptable to most buyers and their lenders. The drawback of this option is that it can take up to 8 weeks – enough to kill off many sales.
What is notifiable to building control?
Notifiable work. Any new construction or extension of a building counts as ‘notifiable’ work. This means you must let the local council building-control department or a privately run building control service know about it, so it can inspect and certify the work on completion.
Can you sell a house without a building control certificate?
