Why was John Wesley Woodward traveling on the Titanic?
Their final tine was “Nearer My God To Thee”. All members of the band, including his friend Jock Hume, drowned and the body of Wesley Woodward was never recovered. A memorial plaque was erected to Woodward on the promenade in Eastbourne depicting the Titanic as it sank….

Are there any real photos of Titanic sinking? There are no pictures of the Titanic sinking for several reasons. First, motion picture photography was in its infancy at the time, and relatively uncommon (no such thing as a portable camera, for example).

The ship’s watertight bulkheads could have been extended and fully sealed to reduce the risk of flooding. Titanic was constructed with transverse bulkheads (i.e. walls) to divide the ship into 16 watertight compartments, which could be sealed off with doors operated either manually or remotely from the bridge. So far, so good.
