How long do you leave Socolor on?
Just leave your color on 30 minutes and if you have stubborn gray leave it on a full 45 minutes. Also it looks like Matrix 7-10 is a demi-color. You want to use permanent color to cover gray generally.

- Standard Mixing Time: 30 to 45 minutes (full 45 minutes for resistant grey hair)
- High Impact Brunettes: 1:1.5 mixing ration, 35 minutes mixing time.

How much developer do I use?
Choose developer strength according to how many levels you need to lift. Use 20 Vol developer for 1-2 levels, 30 Vol for 2-3 levels & 40 Vol for 3 levels. If you are going more than 3 levels lighter, you will need to use bleach first. Stick to the recommended color and developer mix rules.
Can you use any developer with Matrix?
Matrix socolor, Redken color gels, Pravana, Chi, Kenra, Paul Mitchell, etc. (which you need a license to purchase) can also be used with a regular developer. There are a few professional color lines which require a special developer since they are not typical dye.
Do you shampoo out matrix SoColor?
