Are Warne mounts any good?
The Warne Scope Mounts QD rings are awesome. They’re solidly built, easy to install and return within a 1/4 MOA for my Ruger GSR. I’d originally used their low QD rings but the Nikon scope I’d paired it with had an eyepiece that was a bit too large and didn’t give enough clearance for the eyepiece cover.

Can you use a cantilever mount backwards?
The only drawback in mounting a scope backwards would be that it would be un-usable. But if you mean mounting just the mount backwards with the scope facing forward, that will give you no problem. However, if it is a quick detach mount, the latch will be on the wrong side of the weapon for a right handed person.
