What is the difference between Gold Card and Super Gold Card?
There is no difference, it is the same card. Some people call it SuperGold Card or the gold card.

Is a super gold card a Community Services Card?
If you’re receiving NZ Superannuation and successfully apply for a Community Services Card, you’ll receive a new SuperGold Card/Community Service Card which is a combination of both cards and replaces your existing Super Gold Card. It will have ‘CSC’ on the back.
Does gold card expire?
As of 2010, the SuperGold Card does not have an expiry date on it. If you have an older card that does have an expiry date on it, you can contact SuperGold and they will replace it for you.

It is possible to lose your entitlement to the Veteran Gold Card if your eligibility depends on your income and assets, living arrangements, age, impairment rating or the payments you receive. If you lose eligibility for the Veteran Gold Card, you will be notified in writing and your Veteran Gold Card will be recalled.

If you’re successful when you reapply for a Community Services Card, we’ll send you a new ‘combo card’. The card will have the initials ‘CSC’ on the back. Your new ‘combo card’ replaces your Community Services Card and can be used for both health subsidies and SuperGold Card discounts.
Can I use my childs Community Services Card?
You don’t have to be on a benefit to qualify for the card. You can also use the card for your dependent children under 18.

Your SuperGold Card is a personal card. This means you: must present this card to obtain any of its permitted discounts and concessions cannot give your card away, lend, assign, or pledge it cannot use your card if we have asked you to send it back and/or have sent you a new card.
