Country Week or Country Senior High Schools Carnival is an annual multi-sport event carnival held in Perth, Western Australia between rural high schools from Western Australia. The carnival is organised by School Sport WA. Country Week is recognised as being the biggest event of its kind in the southern hemisphere.

The Year 8 boys had a tough afternoon as they were competing against a field of Year 8 and Year 9 boys. They also had to run an extended course, consisting of 3 small laps of the field, totalling just under 5 km. The boys who ran put in a great effort, with two boys finishing in the first 22 places.
Is cross country a good sport?
CROSS COUNTRY is the best sport offered at the high school level. No other sport comes close. Unlike the ball sports, parents have NOT invested tons of money into their distance-running kids. Compare this to football, basketball, baseball, golf, soccer, tennis, volleyball, etc.
