How often should Promogran Prisma be changed?
Based on instructions of use, the dressing should be changed every 72 hours or more frequently if the exudate level is high. If the gel has not biodegraded the dressing should be left in place until the next dressing change, minimising disturbance to the wound.
How long does it take Promogran Prisma to work?
In a prospective randomised multi-center study in VLUs (n= 64), patients received either PROMOGRAN™ or PROMOGRAN PRISMA™ Matrix for 12 weeks, with wound measurements taken every 2 weeks. Improvement was determined as a 50% reduction (or greater) in wound area by 12 weeks.
