What is loctite SF 7649?
LOCTITE SF 7649 is a solvent-based activator for surface preparation that provides for low temperature curing. LOCTITE® SF 7649 is designed to promote the curing speed of LOCTITE anaerobic adhesives and sealants without any significant loss of joint… Increases cure speed on passive and inactive surfaces.
How do you use Loctite 7649?
Directions for use: Spray or brush on the activator on both mating surfaces to be bonded. For small gaps, treatment of only one surface may be adequate. Contaminated surfaces may need repeated treatment or special degreasing prior to activation to remove any dissolvable contamination.
How do you use Loctite 770?
Primer may be applied by spraying, brushing or dipping at ambient temperature. Excess primer should be avoided. Presence of primer may be detected by means of a UV inspection lamp (365 nm). If polyolefin and more active or easier to bond materials are involved, apply the primer to the polyolefin only.
What is the difference between green and blue Loctite?
Permabond Green Threadlocker HL126 is a High strength Low viscosity threadlocker. Permabond Blue Threadlocker MM115 is a Medium strength Medium viscosity threadlocker. Blue threadlockers are often called removable threadlockers as they can be disassembled with hand tools.
When would you use anaerobic sealer?
Many companies use anaerobic sealants to lock threaded assemblies. They maintain clamping pressures and prevent the corrosion and loosening of fasteners. When an anaerobic sealant is used between two mating flanges, it prevents the leakage of moisture, gasses, and fluids.
How does anaerobic Loctite work?
LOCTITE Threadlockers work on anaerobic technology that hardens in the absence of air and presence of metal ions. So, when LOCTITE threadlockers are used on bolt and the nut is tightened, the liquid spread covering all the microscopic gap between the nuts and bolts and unitize them against loosening.
