According to the information I have found on on the M&P 15-22 Sport, your weapon has a MilSpec Buffer Tube; and this stock should fit just fine. Mil-Spec buffer tubes have a slighter smaller diameter of about 1.15″ vs the 1.17″ version found on the Commercial spec tubes.
