What is John Deere J20C?
DESCRIPTION. 49 NORTH® TRACTOR HYDRAULIC FLUID (J20C) is a multifunctional type fluid formulated specifically for tractors using a centralized system to lubricate the transmission, differential, wet brake, power steering, and hydraulic systems.
What’s the difference between J20A and J20C hydraulic fluid?
Petro-Canada Lubricants notes that the key difference between JDM J20A (which is replaced by the current JDM J20C or JDM 20D specification) is the addition of the Alli- son C-4 seal, oxidation, wear and frictional characteristics test requirements — a fact that is not commonly known.
What weight oil is Hy-Gard?
I agree with Tim, HyGard is 15W-20W, Low Vis hy gard is 10W.
Is Hy-Gard zinc free?
This oil is clear as water and has no zinc in it good for 4000 hrs with oil testing. Talked to Shuafers about running their oil but it had zinc in it, my thought was it is pretty cheap for what Hyd components cost on these things.
Is J20C low viscosity?
J20C Fluid J20C transmission oil offers a high viscosity meant for mild temperatures and hot days. As the outside weather and transmission heat up during daily use, the J20C oil will slowly lose viscosity as the temperature increases.
What kind of hydraulic fluid does John Deere take?
Hy-Gard
In the lab and in the field, Hy-Gard is preferred by John Deere engineers to deliver increased performance and protection of transmission and hydraulic systems. Hy-Gard retains proper viscosity over a wide range of operating temperatures thanks to its polymeric viscosity improver.
What weight is John Deere Hy-Gard transmission and hydraulic oil?
32 oz.
Low Viscosity Hy-Gard Hydraulic and Transmission Oil, 32 oz. An exclusive formulation, specifically designed to protect John Deere transmissions, final drives and hydraulic systems.
What is equivalent to J20C?
The J20D specification is the cold-temperature equivalent to J20C.
