What is a litho printer?
In a nutshell litho printing uses wet ink and printing plates whilst digital printing uses toners on a press similar to a giant office printer! Digital printing is more suitable for shorter runs and litho printing for longer runs. Together these colours combine to create a full-colour print.

How does a litho printer work?
In simple terms, your images or text are etched by a laser on to an aluminium plate which has a coating on it. This plate is then put on to the printing press which is made up of lots of rollers that the material goes through. The plate is inked up and transferred to a rubber blanket.
