How do I cancel my SA Water?
Application process for disconnections To request a permanent water and/or sewerage disconnection or temporary water meter removal, you must submit a water/sewerage connection application to SA Water and complete the disconnection section. You can download or print the Water/Sewerage Connection Application form.
Where does SA Water come from?
Your water is sourced from the Myponga Reservoir. It’s filtered and treated using chloramine and ultraviolet light, fluoride is added for public health before coming to your taps ready to drink. Your drinking water comes from the Middle River Reservoir.
Do all new houses have a water meter?
All new homes have been fitted with water meters for some time. Depending on your usage, this can be either a benefit or a burden. If you have a large family or use a lot of water this might be something you may wish to consider.
Is SA water safe to drink?
Yes, Adelaide tap water is perfectly safe to drink. In 2019-20 Adelaide tap water met all Australian Drinking Water Guidelines. These guidelines outline numerous health and aesthetic qualities that our drinking water should meet.
Can you drink SA Water?
The water from your tap is clean, safe to drink and in reliable supply. *Adelaide’s drinking water is filtered by us. In some groundwater systems and regional areas of South Australia, filtering may not be needed, on account of the quality of the natural source, or because of other source specifics.
