Can alumni use LSE Library?
LSE Alumni have free access to a range of online library resources, including ejournals like JSTOR and Sage. Alumni visiting or based in London are also welcome to use the LSE Library’s printed collections – on a reference basis or to borrow – free of charge.
Is LSE going to be in person?
Our expectation for the 2021/22 academic year is that all LSE students will be in London and studying on campus, where many of your learning experiences will be in-person, supplemented by some online elements. As such, we are not planning to offer remote-only study for this academic year.

Reading week is offered on some courses. This consists of a week break in classes, usually in Week 6. If you are an Undergradute student, it is advisable to check your timetable on LSE for You.
Can you eat in LSE library?
Conduct within the Library No food is permitted in the building, apart from in the Escape areas outside the turnstiles. Anyone found to be eating will be asked to dispose of the food or take it to one of the appropriate areas on the ground floor.

The LSE Alumni ID card is obtained through the LSE Library and serves as a library card, giving alumni access to on-site library services.
Can you defer at LSE?
LSE has a no-deferrals policy for offers for graduate programmes. The only exception to this is in cases of unforeseen illness or bereavement. Instead, you may reinstate your application for entry in the following year at no cost for up to two programme choices.
