Afaik, it’s still taught in Scheme by Sussman. All these classes cover quite a bit of material in not-very-much time. They don’t get bogged down by whatever language they use (if any) and they straightforwardly teach fundamental concepts in some depth. They have high throughput.

Is SICP difficult?
In my experience, SICP is a hard book. Don’t feel discouraged if you have a hard time with it. I personally struggled even for days with some of its problems or wasn’t able to solve them. I’ve read of even experienced programmer’s acknowledging the high content density of SICP.
Is reading SICP worth it?
SICP will always be worth reading and will never be outdated. SICP teaches you to think like a really good computer scientist. It contains profound ideas explained beautifully. The ideas are universal across space (computing systems) and time.
