Do I need to prime pre primed skirting?
If you’ve got new or ready-primed skirting boards, or they’ve already been painted before, you can skip this step. But if your skirting boards are wood-finished or haven’t been painted previously, you’ll need to apply one to two coats of primer to them before painting.
What is the difference between primed and unprimed skirting?
The unprimed option will mean your boards will arrive βrawβ and untreated, meaning you will need to do the priming and fully finishing yourself. Primed boards go one extra step and arrive sanded down with a white primer on.

Should I gloss or emulsion first?
The best way to do this is emulsion the ceiling and Walls first(cover all the big areas first) you usely need to have 2 coats. Then finish with your gloss by cutting it into the emulsion.
