What is a bee r rev limiter?
The BEE*R rev-limiter allows fuel to pass into the engine still, limiting engine speed by disabling the ignition signal. The Bee*R rev limiter is fully adjustable in 500rpm increments, for safety reasons allowing only a lower rev-limit to be configured than standard.
Can I adjust my rev limiter?
RPM limiters are set into place to protect the engine and drivetrain from excessive speeds, however some rev limiters are set very low and can be safely increased to expand the useable RPM range of the engine. RPM limits can be adjusted on both petrol and diesel vehicles.
Are rev limiters universal?
To use this limiter, the engine has to be running, but careful – “on” means that it is activated and will restrict your engine. You have to switch it to “off” to derestrict the engine. You can adjust the rev limit with the built-in potentiometer….Description.

Does my car have a rev limiter?
Yes, pretty much every car has a rev limiter, and modern ones are always controlled by the ECU. Rev limiters are usually done one of two ways – by cutting the amount of fuel injected (fuel cut) or by not firing the spark plugs (spark cut).
What is a soft rev limiter?
Soft-cut limiters are a type of rev limiter that partially cuts off fuel to the engine. These limiters may also retard the ignition timing. If using a soft-cut rev limiter, the engine will start to cut fuel or retard ignition timing before the set RPM until it slowly reaches it and remains there.
How do I increase my rev limit?
On many vehicles the rev limiter is control by closing the injectors at a predetermined RPM point. With the i-Driver the Unichip will monitor the injector on time and keep the injectors open after the ECU closed the injectors. By keeping the injectors open after the ECU close the injectors we can raise the rev limiter.
How do you remove a rev limiter?
How to remove the RPM limiter? This electronic command module which limits the RPM quantity in order to save your engine from being damaged cannot be physically removed. However, you have the possibility to change the ECU stock with a high performance ECU. This process will authorize you to go beyond the RPM limits.
Can over revving damage clutch?
Smit says another rather common but highly damaging habit that most drivers have is revving the engine when the clutch is still engaged. The engine revs a lot faster when the clutch is engaged, and the high RPMs encountered in such cases can be lethal to the clutch.
What is a popcorn limiter?
A popcorn limiter basically changes the way a diesel car behaves when the engine hits the rpm limiter. Most stock diesel vehicles will hit the pre-set rpm limiter and will stay at that exact rpm point until the driver intervenes (soft cut limiter).
