There is a possession limit of 16 marron per licensed fisher. This means you may only accumulate your daily bag limit up to a possession limit of 16. This limit applies everywhere except in your permanent place of residence.

Where to catch Marron? Marron are found amongst many waterways throughout the south west of WA. As they are a fresh water crustanctian they prefer the cool areas with low salinity water. They also like to hide under vegitation and amongst fallen trees so this is always a good start.
What is the best bait for marron?
Marron eat almost anything organic found in rivers or dams, including leaves, algae, and other small invertebrates and decaying matter. Marron respond well to chook pellets and there are considered the preferred bait for many fishers. Bush man poles can be used as a more challenging way to target marron.
